Kendal at Hanover is seeking a Director of Facilities. The Director of Facilities is responsible for keeping all of Kendal’s facilities in excellent condition by developing, planning, organizing, and directing the functions of the Facilities department through the direct supervision of 4 facility managers, supporting a facilities team of 25 staff, and managing systems, equipment, utilities, security, and transportation services.
Primary roles and responsibilities include:
Inspecting the plant and evaluating the use of space and Kendal facilities; Analyzing Kendal’s technical systems including the HVAC, building management system (BMS), lighting, and other systems to make recommendations to ensure efficiency; Managing and coordinating various facility-wide administrative systems, including computerized work orders and preventive maintenance, building maintenance, security, fire alarm, emergency phone, and parking control; Overseeing and supporting team supervisors in effectively managing Facilities staff as well as other workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance; Participating in senior management and management team meetings Routinely monitoring reports and effectively communicating on the progress of the Facilities department to all stakeholders as appropriate; The successful candidate will have: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or other related field; A minimum of five years experience in large facility management that includes budgeting, purchasing, and supervising; Experience in supervision of skilled technical workers; Strong leadership skills, including effective communication and teamwork skills; Proficiency in use of computer systems Demonstrated ability to understand and adhere to both federal and state labor laws including OSHA standards and regulations. A valid, unexpired driver’s license is required for this position.
Pay range:
$102,000.00 – $128,000.00 per year, dependent on skills and experience.
