JOB TITLE
Facility Supervisor
REPORTS TO
Facilities Manager
LOCATION
SAU 54
POSITION:
Working supervisor position engaged in budgeting, planning, directing and managing the
maintenance and repair of school buildings, and oversight of grounds and maintenance staff.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
? Perform responsible functions requiring independent judgment in planning, scheduling and
overseeing maintenance and repair projects for district facilities.
? Supervise a team of skilled maintenance, grounds personnel•assigning tasks, monitoring
performance, and ensuring efficient workflow across district locations.
? Communicate effectively, orally and in writing with employees, contractors, school officials and the
general public.
? Possess a thorough knowledge of procedures, equipment, materials, and tools related to facility
maintenance and repair.
? Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for custodial, maintenance, and
repair work.
? Coordinate and direct a preventive maintenance program for district buildings and equipment.
? Plan and manage summer maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion of facility upgrades
and repairs.
? Oversee the inventory and procurement of tools, supplies, and equipment necessary for facility
operations.
? Ensures all district vehicles and mechanical equipment are maintained in safe operating condition.
? Operates trucks, tractor, power tools and hand tools as required for maintenance and repair work.
? Utilizes computer software for work order management, inventory tracking, and energy
management systems.
? May be required to be certified in Asbestos Management in the schools.
? May be required to be certified in Lead Paint laws.
? Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district
and self-selected professional growth activities
? Performs such other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Superintendent, or Director of
Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Vocational/Technical training, five years of experience, including two years of supervisory experience, or an
equivalent of education and work experience.
? High School Diploma, and a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
? OSHA 30 certification required. May be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
? Ability to move, push, pull or carry objects weighing up to sixty pounds.
? Other qualifications may be deemed essential for successful performance in the position.
COMPENSATION
Twelve months. Salary and other terms and conditions of employment shall be
governed by the School Board.
