Short Description
- Direct and control the Hospital Plant, surrounding administrativebuildings and some Outpatient Facilities 24/7/365. Work with a teamof experienced, qualified professionals to ensure that valueobjectives are met in all maintenance, plant engineering, andcapital improvements.
- Supervise a team of
- 40 individualsincluding electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, carpenters, PMmechanics, licensed stationary engineers, and general maintenanceand plant operations. Experience with a unionized workforce a plus
- Plan, direct, budget, financially manage and coordinate allaspects of plant engineering and maintenance. Ability to develop apredictive maintenance, corrective maintenance and operationsbudget.
- Ability to purchase, manage and run utilities operationsand consumption; Experience in the management of co-generationfacilities preferred.
- Understanding and ability to optimizebuilding controls for improved efficiencies.
- Ability to lead ateam to develop and implement a utilities masterplan and utilitymanagement plan. Develop a conservation plan around the use ofpower, gas, and steam; work with senior leadership on an educationplan for staff to participate in all aspects of energyconservation.
- Experience in working with a computerizedmaintenance management system with the goal of improving data andperformance. Develop measurable delivery metrics to chart andaffirm Maintenance and Operations Departments are on a continualpath of improvement.
- Customer Service oriented with excellentwritten and oral communication skills. The ability to work withleaders from other departments within the system is a must.
- Goaloriented individual with a willingness to champion the criticalrole of Maintenance Operations.
Experience Required 15 years’experience in the field. 10 years in project management/teammanagement role. Education Requirements Bachelor ProfessionalDegree in either Engineering or Architecture. License/CertificationRequirements Registered Architect (RA), Professional Engineer (PE),or equivalent experience (> 12 Years) Special RequirementsKnowledge of the healthcare design and construction process; codesetc.
