MANAGER – THE MILL RIVER CLUB REPORTS TO
PROPERTY MANAGER About the Club The Mill River Club was founded in 1964 with the explicit purpose of being diverse, as a non-sectarian country club. Today, the Club prides itself on this continuing diversity. The founders of the Club purchased Appledore, a 129 acre Gold Coast estate, one mile north of Northern Blvd. Mill River boasts a championship 6,623 yard golf course over two completely different 9 hole layouts – the front 9 is fairly level with wide open fairways, the back 9 is very hilly with tree lined fairways. There are 5 tennis courts, one indoor tennis court and 2 pickleball courts. The pool snack-bar area was recently renovated. The Clubhouse, a gracious Normandy Tudor mansion is currently completing a renovation of our dining facilities, which include a Bar, living room, main dining room with seating for 225 and a grill room that accommodates 100. There is also a seasonal patio for 150. The Club is open 10 months of the year, Tuesday through Sunday, dining hours vary by season.
RESPONSIBILITIES
o Ensure the efficiency of all building systems o Plan building maintenance and operational programs o Maintain a safe work environment for all employees / maintain the same for member spaces o Coordination of all maintenance issues and schedules o Manage all third party vendors relating to maintenance and upkeep of clubhouse, pool facility and tennis operation o Ensure all systems are inspected and in accordance with regulations o Coordinate building security and maintenance services o Work with GM to develop operating and capital budgets o Obtain bids for any mechanical or other related jobs dealing with the maintenance or upkeep of clubhouse, pool & tennis facilities o Work with Department Heads on coordination of jobs vs. club activity o Work with GM to ensure the successful set-up of private golf outings o Oversee all building functions o Any of the duties directed by GM or Building Chairman
REQUIREMENTS
o Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently o Goal oriented, organized team player o Self-motivated and self-directed o Well versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices o Good analytical/critical thinking o Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets o Strong verbal and written communication skills o Job is “hands on” with physical activity a must
COMPENSATION
o Full-time, year round salaried position o Salary commensurate with experience o Benefits package including health insurance, dental, life insurance, 401(k) with Club match
