Job Description:
Incumbent will perform a variety of routine and manual tasks in maintaining the appearance and conditions of grounds, walkways and roads on the campus. Such tasks at times require medium to heavy physical effort, but require little planning or special knowledge. Usually works as a member of a crew performing gardening and general grounds maintenance. In performing these tasks, include the use of commercial hand and power tools such as saws, lawnmowers, shovels, snow blowers and on occasion operates ride-on mowers, dump trucks, heavy machinery, and tractors. Duties include cleaning grounds via sweeping, raking, shoveling, removing debris by hand such as leaves, branches, garbage etc. Incumbent will also cut grass, fertilize and water grounds, prune bushes and trees, load trucks with debris, logs, dirt, etc. The college particularly welcomes candidates with knowledge, skills and abilities that include: Commitment to diversity and university initiatives supportive of diversity and inclusion.

Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
There are no education or experience qualifications for this position. Incumbents must be physically able to perform the duties assigned. Possession of a clear and valid NYS drivers license is required.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Landscaping experience.

Salary:
