Job Summary:
TheSenior Manager
- Facilities Project Engineering is responsible forleading the execution of large-scale capital improvement projectsacross industrial facilities, including plant expansions and newconstruction.
This role will oversee a portfolio of projectstotaling approximately $50 million, guiding a team of ProjectEngineers and Project Managers through all project phases—frominitial scope development to construction and commissioning. Therole requires strategic oversight of engineering execution,including scope definition, cost estimation, design coordination,scheduling, and financial reporting. The Senior Manager ensuresthat all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and incompliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Develop the annual capital spending plan andmanage ongoing capital project tracking and reporting.
- Assignprojects and assemble cross-functional teams to execute initiativesbased on business needs and priorities.
- Lead the development andexecution of project strategies utilizing a blend of internal andexternal resources.
- Maintain technical standards, specifications,and best practice design guidelines for facility projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment onproject scope and design considerations.
- Maintain structuredproject documentation and file systems for efficient projectcontrol and reporting.
- Ensure all projects comply withenvironmental regulations and government requirements.
- Communicate effectively with manufacturing, leadership, andprocurement teams to support successful project delivery.
- Manageand develop a high-performing team of Project Engineers and ProjectManagers.
- Drive adherence to safety policies and support allorganizational safety initiatives.
- Define and implementprocedures, policies, and technical standards for projectexecution.
- Ensure accurate project cost tracking and forecastingusing SAP Project Systems.
- Provide regular reports on projectstatus, budgets, and financial projections.
- Oversee fair andtransparent procurement processes and vendor selection.
- Evaluatesupplier performance and identify qualified partners forengineering and construction services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’sdegree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or a relateddiscipline) from a four-year accredited institution.
- ProjectManagement Professional (PMP) certification required.
- Minimum of10 years of experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturingenvironment.
- At least 10 years of experience as a Project Managerleading engineering and construction projects.
- Experiencemanaging engineering and construction contracts for over 10 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing direct reports.
- Preference for candidates with 20 years of experience managingmajor capital improvement projects.

- Salaryrange is between $130k
- $146k
