Hewit Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 Job Summary The Blair Regional YMCA is seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Associate to join our team. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, the Facilities Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the YMCA facility remains clean, safe, and fully operational. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks, responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner, completing minor repairs, and supporting the efficient operation of all building systems. The Facilities Associate supports all departments with special event setup and facility-related needs to help ensure smooth and successful programming. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in facilities maintenance, basic mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service in support of a positive experience for all members, staff, and program participants. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and carry out minor repairs. Complete assigned work-orders/projects in a timely manner Maintain interior facility including but not limited to changing light bulbs, minor plumbing repairs, painting, periodic deep cleaning and other assigned tasks Performs housekeeping tasks to ensure cleanliness as needed Maintain exterior property/grounds including lawn, landscaping, snow removal, pressure washing, exterior trash removal and overall aesthetics of property Ensure cleanliness and safety by addressing spills or accidents in a timely manner Maintains the safety and security of the building and property during shift, promptly addressing and reporting any incidents or hazardous conditions. Identify and report problems to the maintenance director Operates motorized and non-motorized equipment Assist with set-up and tear-down of special events, programs, and classes. (Work schedule may be modified by director as necessary to support these events, including weekends and off-shift hours) Supports the YMCA mission and policies while maintaining a positive and customer service-oriented attitude Attends meetings and related trainings as required Performs other duties as assigned by maintenance director and executive director. Qualifications/Experience At least two years of demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. Ability to maintain reports and records of maintenance requests Ability to follow directions, multi-task, perform duties, and complete projects within a determined timeframe Ability to analyze and respond to safety and emergency situations Ability to interact in a positive manner with members, guests, and coworkers Ability to assist in repairs and preventative maintenance of systems under guidance of maintenance director Knowledge of upkeep and care of equipment and cleaning methods Knowledge and practice of OSHA safety standards in all areas of responsibility Possession of valid PA Driver’s License with ability to meet YMCA standards to become an authorized operator of the YMCA vehicles and equipment Valid PA State Police Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance, National Sex Offender Registry and the completion of Mandated Reporter Training required prior to hire. Written and verbal communication skills Must be 18 years old or older
