New Beginnings GodHab is seeking a dedicated and versatile Work Detail and Facilities Coordinator to join our team in Canton, Pennsylvania. This role is pivotal in supporting our students by overseeing their volunteer work detail schedules, teaching essential skills, and maintaining our facility to create a nurturing environment for spiritual and personal growth. The ideal candidate will be organized, hands-on, and committed to our mission of fostering transformation through faith and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Work Detail Management:
Maintain the volunteer work detail schedule for students in the program. Instruct students on the proper use of equipment and techniques required to complete assigned tasks effectively and safely. Supervise and guide students during volunteer work activities to ensure quality and adherence to schedules.
Transportation and Activities:
Transport students to work detail & evening activities, including worship services, Bible study, and church services. Ensure safe and timely transportation using ministry-provided vehicles.
Facility Maintenance:
Perform basic handyman tasks, including triage and minor repairs to maintain the facility. Oversee landscaping, woodstove management, and pool maintenance to ensure a clean and functional environment. Coordinate with the Director for repairs beyond basic maintenance as needed.
Additional Duties:
Cover one weekend per month, with equivalent weekdays off to maintain work-life balance. Collaborate with the House Manager and Program Director to support the overall mission of New Beginnings GodHab. Foster a positive, faith-based environment for students through mentorship and guidance.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to teach and motivate others. Experience in basic handyman work, landscaping, or facility maintenance preferred. Comfortable with cooking, meal planning, and instructing others in kitchen tasks. Valid driver’s license and ability to safely transport students. Commitment to the mission and values of New Beginnings GodHab. Ability to work flexible hours, including one weekend per month. Prior experience in a ministry, community service, or residential program setting is a plus.
