Job Summary The FacilityExecutive Director is charged with providing day-to-day leadershipand operational management of the treatment center. The FacilityExecutive Director will assist with daily financialresponsibilities and partner with the facility leadership team todrive key performance indicators and financial measures, as well asimprove systems/processes to optimize facility performance.
Consistently maintaining high quality client care is of primaryconcern.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Inpartnership with the Group Executive Director, staff the facilitywith high quality department leaders who possess the knowledge andexperience to deliver best in class SUD treatment.
Including butnot limited to:
Clinical Director, Nursing Director, FacilityOperations Director, Admissions Director, Medical Director andothers to be determined.
- Provide direct supervision and dailymanagement of the facility leadership team.
- Motivate facilityleadership team through a system of metrics and develop a cultureof accountability.
- Participates in ongoing supervision withcommunication with employees and ensures that their needs are met.
- Participate in mentorship with the Group Executive Directortowards overall strategic goals.
- Preparation of annual budget andpreparation of a strategic business plan.
- Constant compliance toregulatory, accreditation standards and requirements, as well asany federal, state, or local certifying and licensure bodies ateach assigned facility.
- Ensure staff in-services and trainingprograms are implemented and followed.
- Lead efforts to train anddevelop director-level staff in areas including budgeting, positioncontrol, etc.; includes building competency among directors toconfidently report metrics within their area of oversight.
- Inpartnership with Group Executive Director, AAC VP, Operations,Chief HR Officer, VP, Talent Acquisition team, develop and maintainstaff engagement and retention plans designed to maintain and/ordecrease industry annual attrition at 35%.
- Performs directsupervision through use of performance competency process andscheduled supervision.
- In collaboration with Regional HR BusinessPartners, handles employee related concerns and complaints.
- Isresponsible for Physician (Provider) relations at the facility.
Service
- Ensure day to day operations of the facility servicelines with a high focus on safe staffing levels, ability toeffectively treat and admit patients at all times, and a leadershipstructure that has adequate redundancy.
- Enforce and monitorfacility policies and procedures that prioritize the safety of allclients and staff.
- Organize and maintain an Administrator On Callrotation to ensure 24/7 management oversight of the facility.
- Isengaging and influences staff to seek the best possible outcomes bydepartment and facility.
- Leads Daily Flash Meeting of departmentleaders and weekly leadership meetings; prepares for and supportsGroup Executive Director in Monthly Operational Report (MOR)meetings with AAC Executive Leadership.
- Willingness to providefacility leadership at other AAC locations (or other markets) asneeded, includes requirement (with limited advance notice) to beflexible, to be available beyond normal business hours, and totravel for extended periods of time, pending the market/location ofneed.
- Leads and completes additional tasks and special projectsas directed by the Group Executive Director or VP, Operations.
Quality
- Establish and maintain high patient satisfaction scoresvia internal measurement systems and external facility reviews.
- Role model and foster a culture of high-performance quality andensure constant compliance with State and federal requirements inpartnership with AAC quality department.
- With centralized QualityAssurance and Human Resources to maintain survey readiness,including mock-survey preparation, and knowledge of currentfederal, state, and local certifying and licensure bodies.
- Implements strategies to monitor and improve quality of care,patient safety, and patient/referral satisfaction.
- Participatesin the establishment of practices, (structures, bylaws,) policiesand procedures that allow the professional staff to effectivelycarry out duties and functions.
- Leads treatment program changesand developments, meets and confers with clinical team, Physiciansand standing committees to formulate treatment policies andmanagement of resources.
- Serves as liaison with medical andpsychiatric (practitioners) consultation as needed. Working toensure quality medical care is being rendered.
- Monitors adherenceto company and department policies, procedures, practices andadherence to established KPI’s, program metrics, and establishedstrategic planning.
- Ensures timely completion of Incident reportsand reviews. Notifies Group Executive Director of criticalincidents in real time. Finance
- Demonstrate high fiscalresponsibility with ownership over facility expenses and staffinglevels:
- In partnership with Facility Operations, Human Resourcesand Clinical Operations, utilize Position Control data to maintainaccuracy of open requisitions, staffing levels, staffing ratios,reduce use of overtime, minimize agency use and use of stipends todrive favorable salaries/wages/benefits (SWB); build positioncontrol competency among director-level leadership and driveaccountability via daily, weekly and monthly SWB budget vs.
actualanalysis.
- Partners with Group Executive Director and ExecutiveLeadership to prepare and present annual budget and strategicoperating business plan.
- Develops cost containment ideas forfacility.
- Works with Group Executive Director in recommending andensuring regulatory staffing patterns & managing annual budget.
Growth
- Installs new practices and oversees efforts towardmaximizing Payor Mix, Average Daily Revenue (ADR), Average DailyCensus (ADC), Length of Stay (LOA) goal attainment.
- Consistentand purposeful interaction with AAC Call Center and BusinessDevelopment Team to ensure admission and transition processes aremanaged effectively and accurately.
- Weekly meetings with localBusiness Development representatives.
- Identify, and partner withnew local market entrants and other disruptors; understand theFacility’s unique product offerings and the corresponding threatsand opportunities within the Facility and local market.
- Strengthen and prepare the operational infrastructure of theassigned facilities for future growth via organic, local, andnational admissions growth.
- Participates in public relationsefforts and state/national professional organizations.
- Ensuresthe referral source management process is delivered accurately andtimely and participates in service recovery efforts as necessary.
Qualifications Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree inhealthcare/business administration preferred.
- One to three yearsof proven success at department level management in BehavioralHealthcare preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the necessarycomponents to deliver high quality client care.
- Ability to enactaction plans/strategies to achieve financial and operational goals.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with demonstratedability to effectively lead in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of government regulations, accrediting bodies (The JointCommission), payor requirements, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage and supervise various positions and relate wellto people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds as well ashave a passion for working with at-risk, cultural andsocioeconomically diverse populations.
- Ability to anticipate, andreact calmly, and lead others in crises and emergencysituations.
