Director of Facilities and Property Management

Job Scope :

The Director of Property Management is responsible for nearly $100M in facilities and property assets that includes 47 physical structures comprising 163K square feet, 8 Owner-facing structures (Inn, Carriage House, Grill, Golf, Gazebo, Gun Club, Fitness), 77 boat sheds, 41 horse stalls and 34 run-in sheds, 90 dog kennels, 55 Trucks, 24 Small equipment (mowers, trailers, chippers, box blades), 21 heavy equipment vehicles (tractors, motor grader, track hoes, loaders, dump truck), 19 water control structures, 3 waterfront docks, and a water treatment plant with 14 miles of piping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety protocols, training, and adherence to worker safety policy.
  • 20-year capital replacement plan and cost estimates for new capital investments.
  • >$2M Annual facility and property operating budget.
  • $2.6M Annual capital replacement budget and construction projects.
  • Scheduled preventative maintenance program that decreases unscheduled repairs.
  • Emergency response, i.e., clearing roads and trouble-shooting electrical outages.
  • Management representative for Owner Property & Facility Advisory Committees.
  • Member of the Architectural Review Board for home construction/renovation.
  • Governmental liaison for permits and policy.
  • Employee engagement, retention, and development.

  • Facility and property preventive maintenance and repair management.
  • Solid waste and waste water management.
  • Construction design, costing, permitting, and project/contractor management.
  • Capital investment, operating budget, and cost control management.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7+ years management/supervisory experience necessary with at least 5+ years overseeing a property management department.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial construction permitting.
  • Proficient in project management, contingency and capital reserve planning.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities and advanced written and oral communication skills.

Must be computer literate.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Horizontal construction experience.
