Position Description Advertised Job Summary Responsible for leading the strategic planning that facilitates optimizing the full life cycle of university property (buildings and building systems) from acquisition and development through operations and renewal to achieve maximum optimization. This is accomplished by investigating, researching, tracking, inventorying and determining life cycle and life cycle costs. The Facilities Asset Manager will collaborate with varies campus constituents to establish and continual improvement to review, plan, catalog, and report upon campus buildings and building systems. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications 8 years of experience within a University Facilities setting gathering and cataloging building and their systems information. Working knowledge of the following systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Assetworks, PowerBi, and ArcGIS) Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations Ability to make presentations and prepare reports. Ability to resolve problems, to interpret plans and interact with various levels of personnel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use technology, problem solve and utilize conscious decision making. Ability to use Microsoft Office products, particularly EXCEL and PowerPoint, to interpret and analyze complex financial data, records and reports; to manage multiple and complex duties concurrently; to plan, prioritize, and organize; to work independently; to use initiative; and to work well with leadership, subordinates, peers, outside departments, and other business professionals; to proficiently apply mathematical concepts; and to develop procedures and processes associated with core responsibilities Job Duties Job Duty Collaborates closely with Facilities staff and using industry standards to develop and maintain an integrated lifecycle asset management plan by performing routine field condition assessments at asset locations across campus. Incumbent will be responsible for gathering integral information from identified assets to enter into Facilities’ CMMS. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 35 Job Duty Build various forecasts and reports for asset renewal that will be presented to various departmental and university leaderships to assist with short and long-term funding and decision making. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty Reviews information across all facets of Facilities to work with appropriate personnel ensure all expenditures associated to assets are captured and reported upon accurately. Works to develop program standards and requirements for documentation, specifications, issues/risk management, release and change management.
