This position will support the corporate office environment and the Real Estate department through various property-related tasks and responsibilities. The role requires practical facility management skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining optimal working conditions. Travel may be required up to 25% (related to building maintenance, career development, or other tasks in and outside the greater Chattanooga area). Functions Coordinate and monitor building repairs and other activities with property management and/or landlords. Perform general (light) facility maintenance to interior and exterior of building and grounds. Oversee third-party contractors and building management personnel visiting facility for repairs or maintenance. Perform administrative support for IFM (Integrated Facilities Management) for KENCO leased sites as needed. Identify equipment in need of repair or service. Schedule preventative maintenance as needed and maintain logs and assorted paperwork. Answer and comply with authorized requests from occupants of building for maintenance. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Assist with “pool” vehicle fleet maintenance and cleanliness. Some housekeeping and cleaning tasks will be required. Arrange conference and presentation rooms as needed. Assist with Safety related requirements and programs such as fire extinguisher and AED inspections. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree or Technical School Certifications in Facilities/Maintenance disciplines, or equivalent experience preferred. Equivalent years of experience is defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested. 3-5 years of facility maintenance and repair experience required. Strong mechanical ability required. Must possess a basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other facility support systems with knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods. Must have a working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices. Must understand how to read facility blueprints, building drawings, and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills required. Computer skills in Outlook, MS Word, & Excel (Required) Adobe, and CAD viewer (preferred-skills progression opportunity) Must have strong attention to detail.
