Description
Under general supervision, coordinates facilities project planning including scheduled repairs, approved renovations, landscape contracts, building energy analysis, current building usage and future building space needs for efficient operations of all Hamilton County buildings and facilities.

This is a Fair Labor Standards Act Defined Exempt Position

  • Exempt positions are excluded from minimum wage, overtime regulations, and other rights and protections afforded nonexempt workers.

The employee in this position is paid a salary rather than an hourly wage for this position. FLSA does not limit the amount of work time an employer may require or expect from any exempt employee, on any schedule. Hamilton County Government expects an employee in this position to complete the work assigned regardless the amount of hours involved in completing the tasks assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Organizational Management, Public Administration or a directly related discipline from an accredited institution. A minimum of five (5) years of direct work experience in facilities maintenance or facilities related work is required. A valid driver’s license is required.
OR
An Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, Organizational Management, Public Administration or a directly related discipline from an accredited institution. A minimum of seven (7) years of direct work experience in facilities maintenance or facilities related work is required. A valid driver’s license is required.
OR
The equivalent of a high school diploma and a minimum of nine (9) years of direct work experience in facilities maintenance or facilities related work is required. A valid driver’s license is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, Organizational Management, Public Administration or a directly related discipline from an accredited institution is preferred for this position.
Direct work experience in the field of Real Estate is also preferred for this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work requires intermittent physical effort involving considerable walking and standing with intermittent lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting and driving. Regular activity involved in monitoring maintenance completion at various sites located throughout Hamilton County is required.
