JOB SUMMARY

This is afull time 40 hour per week position; it will require some overtimeand will be required for on-call emergency. Performs generalmaintenance tasks. Preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, loggingand tracking helpdesk requests, meeting with vendors. Replaceslight tubes/bulbs, fixtures and electrical components. Moving offurniture. This job description does notconstitute a written or implied contract of employment. JobStandards Assist with monthly safety inspections for buildings,opens tickets for all safety issues. Monitors and reports anyfacility items needing addressed, ceiling tiles replaced, lightsout, trip hazards, or pest issues. Ensures all annual inspectionsfor the buildings have been completed in a timely manner. Knowledgeof all CARF and Licensure requirements for facilities. Minorconstruction, demolition, and repair of walls when needed.

Knowledge of vehicle policies and safety requirements. Assists withoil changes for facilities with center vehicles. Assist with firedrills. Participates with on call as needed. Ensures all monthlyPM’s are completed timely. Avoids real or perceived conflicts ofinterest. Reports all violations of policy or code of ethics. Worksall tickets assigned timely and with accurately. Assists withmoves, putting together furniture, and new building startups andshutdowns. Ensure that all HRMC Emergency calls are responded to.

Required to contact supervisor with an update on emergency callsbefore leaving job site property. Required to answer work phone orrespond back within 30 minutes. Ensure that vehicle assigned totechnician is maintained. Required to maintain a clean andorganized vehicle. The technician is responsible for any and alltraffic violations while operating a HRMC vehicle. Observe allsafety practices from wearing PPE to being aware of you and yourteam’s safety. Conduct all work in a courteous and professionalmanner. Leave all work areas clean of tools and debris, to ensurethe safety of all clients and staff.

COMPENSATION

Starting salaryfor this position is approximately $18.42/hr based on relevantexperience and education.

Schedule:

This is a full time 40 hour perweek position; it will require some overtime and will be requiredfor on-call emergency.

Travel :

Travel between McNabb worksites isrequired. F endorsement is required.

Equipment/Technology :

Basiccomputer skills are required for email, timekeeping, logging andtracking helpdesk requests.

QUALIFICATIONS

Facilities TechnicianEducation:

High school diploma or GED. Three years’ experience maybe considered in lieu of education. Knowledge of basic electrical,carpentry, plumbing, HVAC systems, construction materials andgeneral construction techniques. Experience /

Knowledge :

A minimumof three years’ experience is required in the field of buildingmaintenance and/or construction. Some knowledge of computers andcomputer software. Must be able to work in an environment thatincludes adults and children. Applicants must be able to workindependently, and with minimal supervision, and possess excellentcommunication and customer service skills. Must be able to drive acenter vehicle.

Physical:

Normal facility operations environment.

Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license. Normal/correctedeyesight. Hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift aminimum of 40 pounds. Must be able to climb ladder.
