Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to join our team. The Facilities Assistant will work closely with the facilities manager to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our venue. This role is crucial in upholding the quality and functionality of our facilities, contributing to the overall success of our events and operations. this position’s hire date will be mid July 2025.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily facility checks to identify and address maintenance issues promptly. Assist with facility lock-up and security procedures to ensure safety and security. Receive and distribute deliveries from courier services (FedEx, UPS, USPS) as needed. Maintain inventory control of janitorial supplies and assist with ordering as necessary. Perform lawn care and landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, and leaf blowing. Clean and organize facilities, including restrooms, common areas, and event spaces. Provide support for events by setting up, tearing down, and assisting event staff as needed. Support agricultural maintenance needs on the farm, including equipment operation and maintenance. Coordinate with events staff to prepare for upcoming events and ensure facilities are event-ready.

Requirements:

Ability to lift 60lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Proficient in operating equipment such as zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, backpack sprayers, pickup trucks, and tractors. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with time-tracking systems for reporting work tasks is a plus. Reliable transportation for commuting to work. Available to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with scheduled breaks and lunch periods.

Training:

3-month training period covering equipment safety, cleaning procedures, electrical safety, and lawn care/landscaping procedures.
