Housing Facilities Coordinator 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Martin, TN The Office of Housing at The University of Tennessee at Martin invites applications for the newly created position of Housing Facilities Coordinator. This position is designed to support the department’s operational effectiveness by coordinating maintenance, custodial, and facility-related projects across university housing. The Housing Facilities Coordinator will report to the Assistant Director for Housing Operations and will work closely with Physical Plant staff, contractors, and internal housing personnel to ensure high standards of facility upkeep. This is a full-time non-exempt position with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits package, and professional development opportunities. Coordinate ongoing housing maintenance, repairs, and custodial operations. Monitor and follow up on work orders, project timelines, and service requests. Conduct regular walkthroughs and inspections of residence facilities to identify maintenance needs. Collaborate with Physical Plant, contractors, and vendors for routine and preventive maintenance work. Maintain records and tracking systems for work orders and facility-related data. Support data collection efforts for assessments and departmental planning. Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and committees. Serve as a liaison for housing operations with internal and external maintenance personnel. Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders regarding facilities operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma and six years of relevant experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience. Valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in university housing or student affairs. Knowledge of university housing operations or residential facility maintenance. Ability to interpret building layouts, equipment manuals, or vendor specifications.
