Forklift Operator 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Cullman, AL 35055 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to efficiently move products within the distribution center. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, including pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cherry pickers, and other material handling equipment. Load and unload shipments accurately and efficiently. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all materials are accounted for and properly documented. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues. Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and tracking. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and productivity. Assist in materials handling tasks as required, including heavy lifting of products. Requirements Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a distribution center or warehouse setting. Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes. Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks. Experience with RF scanners is preferred. Physical ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
