MATERIAL HANDLER/FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Position Summary :

Moves raw, in-process, and finished materials, to and from work sites manually or with a hand truck or forklift truck.

Essential Functions:

Follow all safety rules and regulations. Must be capable of ensuring accuracy of shipping and receiving documents. Must be able to store materials in the proper location. Must have the ability to accurately count and record units taken to the warehouse Must be able to maintain accurate inventory records. Must have the ability to prepare daily and month end reports in a timely and accurate manner. Must have the ability to move material manually, with hand truck, or with forklift truck. Must have the ability to maintain assigned forklift truck. Must be able to work overtime as needed Must be able to assemble boxes

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Must have the ability to perform other job duties as assigned. Must be able to clean assigned work area. Education, EXPERIENCE

AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Must have valid driver’s license. Must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English well. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to drive a forklift and be licensed to do so. Ability to use hand trucks. Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately.
