As a

  • 2nd•Shift Equipment Operator (Forklift) working Friday-Sundayfrom 6:00AM-6:30PM•, you’ll get to make a difference in a •fast-paceddistribution center•.
  • General Summary:
  • Puts away or removes freight from the Receiving dock and replenishes theBulk and Repack pick slots and reserve slots in order to maintain aconsistent workflow and services the store in a safe, timely and costeffective manner using Radio Frequency (RF) devices or Personal DataAssistant (PDA) units as applicable.
  • Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Completes the daily PIT checklist to ensure equipment is workingproperly and reports any defects to management and/or maintenance.

Operates PIT equipment in a safe manner.

Achieves set standards (engineered or productivity) on a daily, weeklyand monthly basis.

Transports labeled freight from the dock to its assigned place forstorage or shipment and completes the Daily Activity Log in order totrack individual productivity.

Replenishes the modules with correct freight that is free of damage inorder to maintain quality standards.

Assists in maintaining the workflow with the modules by removing emptypallets from pallet return slots as needed to adhere to housekeeping andsafety standards.

Ensures all freight staged on the floor is placed in the correct slotlocation to ensure slots are replenished with adequate merchandise.

Reports all discrepancies concerning merchandise in the wrong slot, slotoverflow, license number not on file, etc., to the proper personnel inorder to maintain inventory standards and improve quality andproductivity standards.

Ensures merchandise is placed in the correct slot location by properlyscanning each pallet license.

Alerts Management of damaged racks, pallets, freight and/or spills.

Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personalsafety.

Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environmentwithin the Forklift department.

Follows all Company policies and procedures.

All other duties as assigned.

  • Education:
  • None
  • Experience:

    1 year experience operating a forklift

  • Physical Requirements:
  • Able to perform essential functions of thejob, with or without reasonable accommodation.

The Team Member shouldhave adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent lifting,walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping andkneeling with or without reasonable accommodation. Team Member will berequired to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per DistributionCenter requirements. Team Member must be able to operate all types ofPIT equipment. Team Member may be required to operate equipment thattakes them to heights of up to 50 feet in the air.

  • Working Conditions:
  • Team Member will work in a non-climatecontrolled Distribution or Warehouse atmosphere, in which outsideweather conditions greatly affect the buildings temperature althoughfans and heaters are used. Team Member may also be exposed to or work ina restricted space, fumes and airborne particles as regulated by OSHA.

  • Team Member will perform shift work and must bewilling to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
