CDL-A Local Driver / Forklift Operator, Full-time Position Available In Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut

Job Description Job Description Starting at 100% union scalewage day 1 available to eligible candidates who apply before6/30/25 ($30.90) Job Description Pickup and delivery of cargo toand from various destinations usually within proximity of theconsolidation/distribution center. The loading and unloading oftrailers utilizing the same techniques, technology and proceduresas a dock worker. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending onterminal location. Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform various tasks ranging from check-in, tractor/trailerinspection, tractor set up, and the pickup and delivery of cargo.
• Exercise independent judgment regarding the building and tearingdown of the trailer to utilize time, resources, energy, andphysical demands effectively and efficiently, while complying withall weight distribution laws.
• Other duties, as assigned.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Complete routine paperworkeffectively, and properly log loading sheets.

RequirementsEducation:

• High School Diploma /

GED Experience:

• 1 year ofverifiable tractor/trailer experience (Candidates with less than 1year experience may be eligible for training).

Certifications:

• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materialsendorsements and no automatic restriction Additional Requirements
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Good stable work record.
• Safedriving record (from MVR and previous employment).
• Be able topass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medicalrequirements.
• Shift days and hours required for this positionvary by location and may include days, nights, and/or weekends.

Being able to work the required hours at this location will beconsidered a minimum requirement. Benefits

• Make more money! Wagesare Teamster Union Scale which are greater than most othercarriers! Hourly employees also receive overtime pay after 8hours/day.

Compensation:
