Summary:
A global company in the Marine industry is looking to hire a Tool Room Associate to join their warehouse team in Fort Lauderdale.
Schedule:
M-F 8am – 5pm
Duties:
- Fulfilling orders
- Pick, pack, and ship tool orders
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and manuals
- Perform minor repairs on tools and/or equipment parts prior to shipment
- Signing tools out in the system
- Returning tools when sent back from calibration, updating calibration management system and placing the tools to appropriate storage location
- Organizing and stocking the tool crib
- Operate a forklift
- Maintain cleanliness around the tool crib & warehouse
Job Requirements Requirements:
- Sit-down forklift experience Preferred qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of tools
- Mechanically inclined
- Proficient using hand tools
- Ability to perform minor repairs
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/manuals
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry)
- Stand-up forklift experience
- Proficient using micrometers and calipers
- Knowledge of BAR measurements
- Vocational/Trade School degree
- Rigging experience is a plus
