The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, including cherry pickers, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse. This role requires mechanical knowledge and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols. Duties Operate forklifts and cherry pickers to transport materials within the warehouse. Load and unload products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling and placement. Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently to fulfill customer requests. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards set by OSHA. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Utilize pallet jacks as needed for moving heavy items or pallets within the facility. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment. Qualifications Valid forklift certification is required; experience with cherry pickers is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and orders. Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
