ELS is hiring for the position of Forklift Driver in Cape Haze, Florida.
What you’ll do: The Forklift Driver operates and manages industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries. This position moves these items to and from storage facilities, warehouses, machines and vehicles while maintaining the highest possible safety standards.
Job Duties:
Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
Identify and report damages, shortages and quality deficiencies as necessary. Transport raw materials to production workstations.
Inspect machinery, perform regular maintenance (e.g., recharging batteries and lubricating equipment) and determine repair needs. Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
Ensure a safe, efficient and injury-free working environment. Experience & skills you need:
High school diploma, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience driving industrial vehicles, preferably forklifts. Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance. Current certification to operate forklifts in accordance with OSHA standards. Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and attention to detail. Excellent physical condition and the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require good hand-eye-foot coordination and sense of balance. Ability to assess and judge weights, distances and heights. Ability to work in various temperatures according to seasonal weather variations.
