Full Job Description Position Summary:
Operates a manually controlled gasoline, electric or liquid propane gas powered forklift to transport goods and materials of all kinds within a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or other establishment. Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device. Inventory materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed. Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules. Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device. Lubricate trucks, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank, or replace liquefied-gas tank.
Qualifications:
US Citizen High school diploma or equivalent 18 years of age Valid state driver’s license Ability to lift 50 pounds. Attention to detail. Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance a plus. Experience as a forklift operator. Forklift or heavy machinery certification.
