Job Title:

Forklift Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves working on the 1st shift, with varying hours at our plant and warehouse locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and handling materials efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Operate forklifts for approximately 90% of the workday. Unload raw materials from incoming trucks and place them in designated areas, ensuring accurate counts. Load trucks with the appropriate raw materials and finished goods, verifying quantities during loading. Operate stand-up, propane, and electric forklifts in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Supply bottles to production lines as needed. Perform daily checks on forklifts for oil, water, and other necessary maintenance tasks. Perform other driving activities as directed by supervision. Represent the company positively at all times. Adhere to company policies and safety requirements. Be available for overtime work when necessary. Clean the work area at the end of each shift. Understand SQF standards and be responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality, alerting appropriate personnel to any issues. Essential Skills Forklift operating experience. Ability to read and write in English. Basic computer skills. Forklift certification. Ability to occasionally lift and move more than 60 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with data entry. Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling. Ability to operate various forklifts such as stand-up, sit-down, and reach trucks. Experience with RF scanners and inventory management. Ability to learn to operate VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) equipment. Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled, requiring flexibility and adaptability to changing conditions. Shifts at the plant run from 6pm to 6am (2-2-3 schedule), while warehouse shifts are from 10am to 6pm (Monday to Friday). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 – $17.50/hr.
