Warehouse Forklift/Water Spider is a multifaceted role focused on maintaining smooth production flow in a warehouse or manufacturing environment . Responsible for material handling, ensuring workstations are adequately stocked, and operating equipment like forklifts, while also playing a key role in lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling and Movement:
. Transporting materials, tools, and supplies to workstations, ensuring they are readily available for production.
Forklift Operation :
. Safely operating forklifts and other equipment to move materials within the warehouse.
Workstation Replenishment :
Ensuring workstations are fully stocked with necessary items, minimizing downtime for operators.
Inventory Management :
. Participating in inventory counts, potentially using, and reporting discrepancies.
Lean Manufacturing Support :
. Working within a lean manufacturing system to optimize material flow and reduce waste.
Communication and Collaboration:
. Communicating with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate material movement and address any issues.
Safety Compliance:
Following all safety procedures and protocols, including those related to equipment operation and material handling.
General Warehouse Support:
Assisting with various warehouse tasks, including receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment.
Problem Solving:
Identifying and resolving issues related to material availability or workflow disruptions.
Requirements:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Forklift Operation:
Certification or experience in operating forklifts is typically required.
Material Handling Experience:
Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is often preferred.
