Do you have an interest in working in a positive, team-centered environment where focus is on service? The Boat House of Cape Coral is seeking an experienced Marina Forklift Operator to help with the needs in the boat storage facility to include the safe lifting of heavy boats and maneuvering in tight areas without damage and error.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operating a Marina forklift to lift, move and store boats to and from the water while paying attention to all safety requirements. Ability to store boats in Dry Storage racks at heights up to 75 feet high Make sure proper and safe operation on lifts to ensure safe and timely moving, blocking and placement of all vessels on the sales lot, service facility and in water. Properly secure vessels to docks, seawalls, etc. Proper and safe use of slings/shackles ensuring safe movements Unload boats, motors and trailers from delivery trucks upon arrival. Monitoring gauges, dials and other indicators to make sure machinery/equipment is working properly. Keep work area clean and pleasant for customer view. Drive a Marina Forklift, attending to all safety protocols. Follow all safety policies and procedures, to include utilizing proper safety gear. Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees in all business units within the organization. Attend all assigned meetings. Follow all company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. You must be able to work weekends.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of Marina Forklift experience required. At least 1 year of Matine boating experience required. At least 1 year of Heavy Machinery experience required.
