Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator & Kitchen Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating forklifts as well as strong knowledge of kitchen remodeling, including measurements, flooring installation, cabinetry, and drywall. This dual-role position requires precision, efficiency, and the ability to manage responsibilities both in the warehouse and on-site at residential or commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Forklift Operator Duties:
Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or job sites. Maintain inventory by accurately storing and retrieving items. Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning. Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while operating heavy equipment.
Kitchen Estimator Duties:
Visit job sites to take precise kitchen measurements. Estimate costs for kitchen remodeling projects, including flooring, cabinetry, countertops, drywall, and other finishes. Provide accurate and detailed material take-offs. Collaborate with clients, designers, and installers to ensure clear communication and project requirements. Prepare and present quotes to clients in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator (certification preferred). Strong knowledge of kitchen remodeling , including: Kitchen measurements Flooring installation Cabinet installation Drywall installation Ability to read blueprints and design layouts. Strong mathematical and analytical skills for estimating. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical stamina to work in warehouse and job site conditions. Valid driver’s license (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA safety training. Forklift certification. Experience using estimation software or tools. Background in carpentry, construction, or home renovation is a plus.
