The Yard Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers and containers within the yard of the port. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that shipments are loaded and unloaded in a timely manner, supporting our overall logistics operations. Responsibilities Safely operate yard trucks to move trailers between loading docks and designated areas within the yard. Perform loading and unloading tasks using forklifts and clamp trucks, ensuring all cargo is handled with care. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate the flow of goods in and out of the facility. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical reliability and safety compliance. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Qualifications Experience in shipping and receiving operations within a distribution center or warehouse setting is preferred. Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
