This position involves both warehouse duties and driving responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and have experience with various types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tow trucks.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise.
• Read and interpret job orders.
• Prepares orders by processing request and supply orders, pulling materials, placing orders in delivery area.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Open crates and containers.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Prepare finished jobs ready for freight deliveries.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat, sweep, dust and mop. Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.
• Wear proper safety equipment. Communicate with Management Team regarding daily routes and delivery/pick-up schedules.
• Obey and follow applicable traffic laws.
• Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance it within the vehicle.
• Ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Report defects, accidents, and violations.
• Perform daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
• Load and unload box trucks with pallet jacks.
• Interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections reports.
• Verify loads for accuracy.
• Long-distance driving to New Jersey and other Tri-State locations
• Other tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is preferred. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving route driving. Familiarity with various vehicle types such as buses, limousines, and freight trucks is advantageous. No CDL required, but prior truck driving experience is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse duties. A commitment to safety practices while operating vehicles and handling materials in the warehouse environment.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High School or GED diploma with college a plus.
• 1+ Years of forklift experience.
• 1 year of driving experience.
