In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while being a key part of a leading distributor of carbon and stainless pipes. Pay Rate $17.00 per hour Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, following company policies and procedures. Load and unload building materials from trucks, racks, and other storage areas, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Transport materials to designated locations within the facility, maintaining inventory accuracy and organization. Regularly lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment) Position requires working in a warehouse environment, as well as outside in the Pipeyard. Will be exposed to all weather conditions – heat, cold and rain. Inspect and maintain forklifts regularly, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel for repair. Forklift Operator Qualifications and Requirements 3 – 5 years of warehouse-related experience in shipping and receiving 3+ years of forklift experience Forklift Certification required Experience handling pipe (both carbon and stainless steel) a plus Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and operating instructions to prevent accidents and injuries. Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy loads safely and efficiently. Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination to maneuver equipment in tight spaces and navigate busy warehouse environments.
