Forklift Operator Total Quality Fence and Remodeling 3821 Progress Drive, Lakeland, FL 33811 Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in a dynamic warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, materials handling, and adherence to OSHA safety standards. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently. Perform order picking tasks to prepare products for shipment. Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials in designated areas. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting. Familiarity with order picking processes and materials handling techniques. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and workplace safety. Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues. Previous experience working under the supervision of a warehouse supervisor is advantageous.
