The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within the facility. This position is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and cherry pickers, to move, stack, and load materials safely. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Assist in training new staff on equipment operation and safety procedures. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with forklifts and pallet jacks. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
