Forklift Driver 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 4800 US Highway 301 S, Register, GA 30452 The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, stack, and count materials within the manufacturing plant. The role ensures the efficient and safe handling of materials and products to meet production requirements while maintaining accuracy in inventory records.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling and Transportation Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas. Transport materials to designated areas within the plant or warehouse. Stack and organize products to optimize space and accessibility. Inventory Management Assist with inventory control by tracking materials and reporting discrepancies. Verify counts of materials moved against shipping or receiving records. Maintain accurate documentation for all material movements. Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials. Safety and Compliance Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues. Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations for forklift operation. Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling materials. Report and address unsafe practices or conditions immediately.
