Position Overview:

Inova Staffing is seeking a skilled and experienced Sit-down Forklift Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to move steel materials using a sit-down forklift efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forklift operation and possess the necessary skills to handle heavy loads and ensure the smooth transportation of material within our facility.

Responsibilities:

Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials within the designated work area. Load and unload materials from trucks and containers. Transport products to and from various locations in the facility. Inspect the forklift and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure its proper functioning. Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to avoid accidents and injuries. Work closely with team members to coordinate steel handling activities efficiently. Maintain accurate documentation of inventory movement and related tasks. Follow all company policies and procedures regarding steel handling and forklift operation.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a forklift operator, specifically handling heavy steel materials. Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operation and steel handling. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. This is a full-time permanent position.
