The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our facility. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are stored, retrieved, and shipped accurately and safely. Duties Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and cranes, to move materials throughout the warehouse. Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate placement of goods in designated areas. Perform regular inspections and maintenance on forklifts and heavy equipment to ensure safe operation. Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while operating machinery. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipment contents against purchase orders. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Participate in training programs to enhance skills in heavy equipment operation. Skills Proven experience in warehouse operations, including familiarity with order picking processes. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. Understanding of OSHA safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Experience with shipping and receiving procedures is preferred. Proficient in using warehouse management systems for inventory tracking. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
