Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator I to join our warehouse team. This entry-level position requires certification to operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts. The primary responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, putting away materials, and supporting general warehouse operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment while upholding food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load/unload trucks and move materials. Verify incoming shipments against documentation and apply License Plates (LPs) as instructed. Perform order picking and put-away tasks. Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse (sweeping, trash removal, pallet organization). Rotate inventory using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method. Perform location audits and assist with inventory control. Follow all food safety and quality protocols including HACCP, FSMA, SQF, and GMPs. Support a culture of safety by practicing safe work behaviors and reporting hazards.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience.

Certification:

Valid forklift certification required.

Skills:

Basic math skills and knowledge of safe forklift operation.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, move, and handle materials up to [insert weight] lbs.
