Material Handler/Forklift Operator Jemison Metals – Swainsboro 720 Empire Expressway, Swainsboro, GA 30401 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our facility. This role is essential in maintaining the flow of operations and ensuring that products are handled safely and effectively. Duties

• Operate forklift in an approved manner
• Read and follow work center job instructions
• Move parts from the paint line to shipping and put the parts in their proper place and work with the MTS to ensure the material movement transactions in the computer are made
• Ensure quality requirements are met
• Ensure accurate data collection in inventory system
• Eliminate non-value-added operations
• Utilize safe & efficient material handling methods to transfer materials
• Ensure good housekeeping is maintained
• Assist with maintaining written department procedures, training personnel on the procedures, & revise as necessary
• Ensure safety procedures are followed
• Encourage, implement, and support continuous improvement within the department
• Attend and participate in continuous improvement meetings
• Ensure proper paperwork moves with parts
• Get along with other employees Qualifications Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.

Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and safety standards. Experience with order picking processes, including the use of RF scanners. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
