Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse or distribution center environment. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate sit-down forklift equipment to load, unload, move, and stack products or materials. Conduct daily inspections of forklift and other material handling equipment. Transport materials to and from designated areas in the facility. Follow inventory control procedures to ensure accurate counts and locations. Assist in general warehouse duties, including picking, packing, and palletizing, as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Report any equipment malfunctions, damages, or safety concerns to management. Adhere to all company policies and OSHA safety regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid forklift certification (sit-down forklift) required. 1+ year of experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or similar environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
