Arnaudville, LA 6639 Highway 93, Arnaudville, LA 70512 Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is crucial for maintaining productivity and ensuring that all operations run smoothly. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to move materials throughout the warehouse. Perform order picking and staging of products for shipping. Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper handling of materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges. Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing orders. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs. Requirements Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse or distribution center setting. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including various types of forklifts. Ability to effectively use a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not required; training may be provided. Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
