Cold Storage Forklift Operator Rich’s Transportation Services 305 Myles Standish Boulevard, Taunton, MA 02780 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, including pallet jacks and reach trucks, to ensure efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, including pallet jacks and reach trucks, to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas. Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently using warehouse management systems. Ensure proper handling of products during loading and unloading processes to prevent damage. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying accuracy of shipments against purchase orders. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth operations within the distribution center. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any issues promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting. Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping/receiving procedures is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by job duties. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols in the workplace. Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
