The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is crucial in ensuring that shipping and receiving operations run smoothly, contributing to the overall productivity of the facility. Duties Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to transport materials safely throughout the warehouse. Load and unload trucks, ensuring that all items are handled with care and accuracy. Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking materials and supplies. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with team members to build pallets for shipping and ensure timely delivery of products. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Support shipping and receiving operations by preparing materials for dispatch or storage. Requirements Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center environment. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and pallet jacks. Strong understanding of materials handling processes and best practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Valid forklift certification is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
