Forklift Operator Job Description As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a stand-up forklift within a food manufacturing plant. Your primary duties will involve shipping and receiving materials, supplying materials to the production line, and removing materials from the lines. Responsibilities Operate a stand-up forklift for shipping and receiving materials. Supply materials to the production line and remove materials from the lines. Adhere to all GMP policies including wearing hair and beard nets, and company-provided lab coats. Ensure no jewelry is worn during operations. Essential Skills Experience operating a stand-up forklift in a food manufacturing environment. Minimum of 1 year experience with either sit-down or stand-up forklifts. Knowledge of material handling and general labor in production settings. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in food manufacturing plants is highly desirable. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
