The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, locate, and transport products within the warehouse. This role is crucial in maintaining an organized and productive work environment, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and effectively. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and clamp trucks, to transport materials throughout the warehouse. Perform order picking tasks accurately to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation. Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare shipments for delivery. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery in the warehouse environment. Assist in materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading trucks as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety. Qualifications Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting. Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred. Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including cherry pickers and clamp trucks. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
