Role:
The Forklift Operator/Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving all orders. This position unloads trucks, inspects all incoming shipments for damages and completes NCR’s when material fails receiving inspection, verifies and enters receipt of shipment, puts items away in proper locations, and handles returned product.

As a member of our Forklift Operator/Receiving Team, you’ll play a crucial role in the movement of raw materials. With a strong focus on safety and reliability, the Forklift Operator/Receiving Team collaborates closely with other departments. What You’ll Do at
Justrite:
Inspects and checks forklift for safe and proper operation. Completes forklift inspection forms.
Unloads all incoming trucks upon arrival.
Participates in scanned physical inventories as needed.
Inspects all incoming shipments for damages. Completes NCR when material fails receiving inspection.
Verifies and matches packing list to purchase order.
Generates, verifies and applies bar code labels to accepted material using product numbers on purchase orders.
Scans accepted material into its proper location and delivers or coordinates movement of the material to its designated storage area.
Receives returned product and stores material in return rack for QA action.
Prepares shipment of outsourcing materials to vendors for processing.
Responsible for certain inventory control functions.
Communicates with buyer on a daily basis to determine incoming materials, issues with inventory control, and NCR products.
Assists in maintaining department in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
Observes all safety and environmental procedures.
Performs other duties as requested by management.
Your Skills and Expertise:
To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
Ability to read, write and perform math.
Ability to formulate conversions for applicable material.
Must be computer literate.
Detail oriented.
A high degree of attention is required to ensure injury prevention.
Motivated, organized, and have the ability to coordinate multi and changing priorities while paying close attention to detail.
Ability to move or lift packages weighing up to 75-150 pounds.
Must satisfactorily pass the in-company forklift driver training program.
Ability to sit, stand and/or walk, for an 8 hour shift.
Ability to reach with hands and arms; bend, stoop, and crouch.
Ability to use hands and fingers effectively to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to effectively communicate.
Must be able to wear safety glasses while in the plant and any other necessary PPE as required by the specific task.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Compensation:
The compensation for this position will include an hourly rate of $17.50 and is paid on a bi-weekly basis. In addition, there is a Hourly Production Bonus Plan that is designed to support Key Performance Indicators of your location and business unit.
