Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Operator with experience operating a telehandler all-terrain forklift to support daily production and manufacturing operations both safely and efficiently. This role plays a vital part in staging and transporting materials, assisting with loading/unloading, and keeping the flow of production and manufacturing work running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a telehandler (all-terrain forklift) to safely move large and heavy materials around the yard and manufacturing areas under general supervision. Load and unload raw materials, parts, equipment, and supplies. Assist in staging parts for fabrication, welding, and final assembly of dredges Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance inspections and complete pre-shift checklists Follow proper rigging and lifting procedures to ensure safe handling of oversized or irregular materials Collaborate with supervisors and manufacturing team members to prioritize material movement Maintain accurate records of material handling activities and report equipment issues promptly Complete job tickets, service quality summaries, and all other necessary paperwork. Keep workspaces clean, organized, and free of hazards Follow all company safety protocols, including use of PPE and safe driving practices Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must be at least eighteen years of age Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating telehandler or all-terrain forklifts in an industrial or construction setting High school diploma or GED required Ability to read and interpret job instructions, safety documentation, and load charts Strong understanding of forklift operation safety and hazard awareness Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on feet for long periods, and work in varying weather conditions Must be dependable with strong attendance and time management Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks or positions in the Company outside of or in addition to primarily-assigned position, work area, or department on an as needed basis. Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment testing (drug test, physical, audiogram, and vision test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current forklift certification (telehandler-specific preferred) Familiarity with rigging, load handling, and basic mechanical tasks Experience in marine, manufacturing, or industrial environments
