Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Counter Sales Representative to join our team in Winston-Salem. As a mobile home parts store, the ideal candidate would have some experience or knowledge in construction, general repair, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, retail sales, and/or customer service. The ideal candidate will also bring with them a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the motivation to achieve daily tasks and objectives.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced retail environment. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers with their purchases, managing transactions, and ensuring the sales area is well-stocked, clean, and organized. Responsibilities Greet customers and help them in finding and selecting the products they need while providing expert service and advice. Answer phone calls and assist customers with professionalism and courtesy. If necessary, direct customer to the appropriate person or department Operate cash register and store computer applications accurately to process transactions. Knowledge of basic math skills is required. Maintain knowledge of store products to effectively upsell and promote items. Manage stock levels by restocking shelves and organizing inventory. Ensure the showroom and counter areas are clean, organized, and visually appealing. Utilize retail math skills to assist with pricing, discounts, and inventory management. Check items in from deliveries and put in appropriate locations. Pull items for weekly deliveries with timeliness and accuracy. Help load our truck on delivery day. Sweep and mop the showroom and bathrooms on a weekly basis, or as needed. Occasionally, help with deliveries by driving truck. (Which may mean extended hours). Open and close the store as required by the supervisor. Requirements Must be able to lift 50 lbs., and be able to stand for extended periods of time. Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred. Familiarity with computers and POS systems is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Basic understanding of retail math for accurate transaction processing. Ability to operate a forklift/pallet jack.
