Job Description:

Summary:

The
Sit-down
Forklift Operator
is responsible for
replenishing fixed locations and
assisting
the day shift in pulling orders. This position plays a key role in supporting daily production by managing material movement. The Forklift Operator reports directly to the Frameless Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate a
sit-down
forklift to replenish fixed locations and move older products to the front of racks to ensure inventory is
properly managed
.
Transport and organize materials to
allocate
for daily production needs.
Storepleted daily production or inbound loads in designated areas.
Pick up pallets and prepare aisles for replenishment activities.
Maintain an orderly and safe work environment, operating the forklift in a safe manner at all times.
Consistently provide excellent customer service by
demonstrating
respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions with customers, visitors, and coworkers.
Champion American Woodmark’s mission, vision, and values while adhering topany policies, procedures, ethical standards, and the code of conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned to support operations and the overall goals of the team.

Skills and Experience Required:

High School Diploma or GED
required
.
Minimum of 6 months of forklift driving experience.
Attention to detail with familiarity in handling industrial equipment.
Excellent physical condition and coordination, with the ability to safely
operate
a forklift.
Valid forklift certification
required
.
Strong sense
of urgency, accountability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
