Forklift Operator/Material Handler Abacus Service Corporation Gorham, NH 03581 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to efficiently move materials and products throughout the facility. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Duties Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and cranes, to transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently using a warehouse management system. Conduct heavy lifting and materials handling as required to ensure timely delivery of products. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies. Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare shipments for distribution. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs. Requirements Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picking processes. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts, cherry pickers, and cranes. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety practices. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
