The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move materials and products within a warehouse or distribution center. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations and ensuring the timely delivery of goods. Duties Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse. Perform order picking and ensure accurate selection of products for shipping. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintain organization within the warehouse, ensuring that materials are stored correctly and safely. Conduct regular inspections of forklift equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges. Participate in materials handling tasks as needed, including heavy lifting and moving of products. Skills Proficient in basic math skills for inventory management and order processing. Experience with order picking processes in a warehouse environment. Valid forklift certification with demonstrated experience operating various types of forklifts. Knowledge of warehouse management practices and procedures.
